We are extremely proud of our football team who have played fantastically well in the small schools league this academic year. The team has shown huge amounts of skill, team work, sporting attitude and values- they have been utterly thrilling to watch play. We await until all games have been played by the other schools to see where we placed in the league- regardless of this, the team could not have represented Doddi more brilliantly!
Every day this week, we have taken part in a different mental health activity. We have made ribbons to raise awareness, played group games, snoozed out in the sun, completed mindful colourings and talked about how our brains work and what we can do make them healthy!
Another brilliant performance by Doddi this week against Chudleigh Knighton. Thank you to everyone who came along to support and thank you to all of the children who represented our school so well. Go Doddi!
As part of our mindfulness learning, we created affirmation boxes and wrote messages to go in our boxes that reminded us about all of the good things about ourselves! We will be doing a short mindfulness activity every day next week.
Today, we took part in a special times tables tournament against 1000’s of schools!The children really enjoyed this competitive opportunity and achieved some blisteringly high scores!
Our Forest School session today focussed on using tools to make holes. For many children, the session was the first time that they had the opportunity to use an awl. It is good to see the children developing skills using a range of tools.
